v2.7.0 is live!
Just a while ago, we released a new update to Illumea.
Focus on conversation data
Our primary focus area for this update comes from all the testing we have been doing over the last few weeks, playing around with messages and data. There were a list of things we had to fix/update on this front:
- We had a generic categorization of "Answered" and "Unanswered" for generic responses given by the chatbot. While this was good for an overview, for deeper actionable insights, we had to further breakdown especially "Unanswered" into sub-categories like "irrelevant" for spam or "greeting" for all the "Hi" messages. This does not disturb the intent categorization which we already have, but value-adds to it
- Spam filtering is important, so we added multiple classifiers that would help with cleaner reporting both on the dashboard and monthly reports
- Expansion and cleanups on patterns was also some major work to ensure that it is easier to extract insights from conversation data
- With updates we had done sometime ago to the dashboard, it made a lot of sense in adding some filters, especially to the Knowledge Gaps table to make it more intuitive and user-friendly
User Interface
Our todo list had a few UI improvements that we decided to pick up on during this sprint. A few of those are:
- We finally added the dark and light mode switch. The color palette for light mode was tricky and we will continue to iron out some of the contrast stuff.
- While we followed some of the modern practices of building an application UI with the user info and settings at the left-bottom of the screen within the side navigation, it was lost! So, we moved that back to the header, where it was originally designed to be
- Re-arrangement of cards on the analytics dashboard was needed for users to build their story well
- Other small tweaks in the form of shadows, colors etc were also completed
Other than all these items, the release also had the standard "Other minor fixes across the platform" item which were for all those things that don't need much of an explanation but helps to keep the platform stable and reliable.
Thanks!
